5th Ave Active has been an idea for years. Our founder purchased her first pair of grip socks from a Pure Barre studio on 5th Ave in Columbus, OH in 2016. In 2016 grip socks were very hard to find and she found herself buying a new pair anytime the studio put out new grip socks. She loved wearing grip socks while working out so much that she continued to wear them for at home pilates and barre workouts after she moved states. When looking to purchase a new pair of grip socks online, she was very underwhelmed with the selection of pilates and barre socks online. They either looked like they were from a hospital, the grip looked wimpy, or they were sold out. She noticed that it is so easy to put together a cute top and leggings and then the ugly grip socks ruin the outfit. That is when she decided she could help fill the gap in the market and a few years and a bunch of samples later 5th Ave Active is born.

 

5th Ave Active's grip socks have been tested on carpet, wood floor, concrete, reformers and megaformers and have held up after mutliple washes (nobody wants stinky socks). Our founder, is an avid pilates and barre class girl and also has a background in teaching barre and pilates. She has a high standard for her fitness gear and cannot wait to share her grip socks with the masses.
